About Twenty Ideas

The people beside
your next big step.

Bring the ambition, the uncertainty and the hard questions. We’ll bring people who care enough to work through them with you.

A whole team behind the work.

Ambitious work.
Grounded people.

Making something new asks a lot of you. A leap of faith, difficult decisions, and the hope that the people you choose will care as much as you do.

We bring product strategy, design and engineering into the same conversation. You bring the context only you have. Together, we work out what will make a difference and what it will take to build it.

What we stand for

The way we work
is part of what we make.

01

Start with respect.

For your knowledge. For each other’s craft. For the person who will use what we make. We listen before prescribing and make room for the quieter voice in the conversation.

In practice: questions first, shared decisions, honest disagreement.
02

Strive for simplicity.

A complicated problem doesn’t always need a complicated product. We look for the clearest path through it, question unnecessary features and explain the tradeoffs.

In practice: make the next decision clearer, and the product easier to use.
03

Be a force for good.

Think about who benefits, who could be left out and what happens after launch. Useful work should leave people with more agency when using a product or learning a new way to work.

In practice: accessibility, responsible choices and knowledge your team can keep.

CEO

Founder and CEO Mike Biglan brings product, design and technology experience to the work of turning an idea into something people can use. His work spans digital therapeutics, remote patient monitoring and education, including the platform supporting XPRIZE’s adult-literacy competition.

As the former Head of Technology for Marco Polo, Mike also led the creation of an early version of the consumer video-messaging app. At Twenty Ideas, that experience informs the conversations between product ambition, the people a product serves and the decisions required to build it.

Trevor Dilley

Chief Technology Officer

Our origin story / February 2014

A company built
around possibility.

Bring thoughtful people together. Give them a worthwhile problem. Make room for a better idea.

People working together around laptops in an earlier Twenty Ideas office

Twenty Ideas started in 2014 with a purpose: bring together people who love solving problems, learning from one another and making useful things.

That way of working has taken us through healthcare, education, industrial and field services, and research and innovation. The company has grown around the connection between product thinking, design and engineering.

Our name reflects that process: bringing many ideas together, then finding one worth building on. We described it in a 2018 profile as exploring “the adjacent possible”: the possibilities that open up when ideas connect.

Our tools and our visual identity have changed along the way. Today, AI opens up new ways to explore and build. The responsibility is still ours: ask good questions, make thoughtful choices and care about what happens next.

A changing identity. A continuing idea.

We keep becoming
Twenty Ideas.

Each version of the mark is a small piece of a larger story. New ways to express who we are; the same belief in what people can make together.

Talks, perspectives & press

Good ideas are
worth sharing.

How we think should be something you can explore. Here are a few places we’ve shared our practice, contributed to the conversation, or had our work covered over the years.

Security, privacy & accessibility

Trust belongs in the work.
From the beginning.

Some requirements shape whether a product can be used at all. Bring them into the conversation early, alongside the people responsible for them.

Health & learning

Protect what people entrust to you.

Our health and education work includes product and engineering support for HIPAA and FERPA requirements: understanding data flows, access and the setting where the product will be used.

Make more ways in.

Accessibility belongs in design and engineering together. We can scope WCAG-focused work around a named target, with keyboard, assistive-technology and user-flow checks.

A company is also a place to spend your days. We want ours to be a good one.

These recognitions mark different parts of that effort: the workplace people help shape, the room we make for working parents, and the relationships we build over time.

They’re milestones worth celebrating and reasons to keep listening to the people who work here.
